Richard is valued by clients for his knowledge, wisdom and understanding of organisational life, built up over 30 years as a practitioner in leadership and organisation development. Richard has had an association with Chartwell Learning & Development Ltd for many years. He has run the Positive Power & Influence workshop in a range of client organisations.
Before forming his own consultancy business in London in 1990 Richard worked in internal leadership and organisation development roles in BP International and Shell UK. He has also worked as a Psychologist for the UK Government, the Engineering Industry and in new product development and qualitative research consultancy with a range of FMCG companies.
Richard Mindel has degrees in Organisational Psychology and Behavioural Science from the Universities of Lancaster and Aston. He is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
Richard is valued as a facilitator and coach for his energy, insight, creativity and genuine interest in people. He enjoys creating challenging environments where leaders can explore ideas and talk things through. He draws on practical frameworks and tools that enable people to gain new insights and perspectives whilst building their self-confidence and independence.
Richard has consulted to a range of organisations in the private and public sector. He currently runs Development Centres and Career Management Workshops for high potential leaders in a large energy company. He also coaches senior leaders in several large international organisations including Shell, BP and BNFL.
